A living photobook

Baba

Some lives are too large for one photograph. These are the faces, rooms, and quiet moments that keep his story breathing.

The golden day

He saw what he built.

At the fiftieth wedding anniversary, Baba was not simply attending a celebration. He was looking across the room at a life that had taken root: a daughter, a family, and love strong enough to gather everyone together.

He stood inside the proof of his own faithfulness, surrounded by the people who had learned endurance from him.

01 · THE FAMILY GATHERED

The centre

The room knew him.

There are people who enter a room and become part of its noise. Baba entered and became its centre. His presence made an ordinary gathering feel held, as if the family could briefly stop worrying because he was there.

This is what a patriarch leaves behind: not a monument, but a room that still feels shaped like him.

02 · HOME AND BELONGING

Still standing

A hundred and nine years.

His face carried the long weather of a century: war, hunger, work, faith, children, grandchildren, and the stubborn daily decision to keep going.

He did not need to explain his strength. It was visible in the way he sat, watched, remembered, and remained present.

03 · THE LONG LIFE

What remains

Memory is a family practice.

Now the work of remembering belongs to all of us. We carry his name in the stories we repeat, the standards we keep, and the way we stand up when life asks us to take the hit.

The photographs do not close his story. They give us somewhere to begin.

04 · THE LEGACY
For Baba

Rest now.

You already did the hard part. We will carry the story forward.
